Lacey

Lacey turned ONE today. I can hardly believe it. She is so beautiful (if I do say so myself) and fun to have around. She is walking and trying to keep up with everyone else. I was reading my journal of our life last year when she was born and as grateful as I am for her, I am so glad that year is behind us. We were building our home, starting a new job, having health issues, and all sorts of craziness! We LOVE you Lacey! Thanks for coming to our family! Her new thing is to play in the plant soil. NAUGHTY NAUGHTY. Needless to say, this huge plant is now up on my cupboard.

While the boys are away....

The Girls Will PLAY!! Micah and Kody went snowmobiling last Friday and Saturday and had a great time. Meanwhile the girls and I ate Mandarin Chicken, watched High School Musical, and Josie and I did Pedicures on each other. Fun times!! (You're awesome Josie! Thanks for hanging out with me! I love you!)
Josie even gave Tyann a pedicure the next day! So fun....

My first stitches!

Besides the C-sections of course! WARNING: These photos are not for the weak stomachs!

I had to get a mole removed off the back of my leg and ended up with 7 stitches. Yikes! I couldn't believe it.

Yuck, I know! I just had to share my pain. I have to keep it moist and wrapped and the stitches won't be taken out for 10 more days! Joy!

Playing Beauty Shop

For Christmas I gave Josie my long haired maniquin (I can't think of how to spell that right now) head. She loved it and has spent lots of time learning to braid, clip, curl, ect. the hair. Here are two of my favorite pictures of her and the doll.

Christmas Day:
But the FUNNIEST one is this one:

A fun weekend!

The kids didn't have school on Monday, so we made a fun trip home! We hadn't seen the Wrights since Christmas so we stopped there to say Hello and pick up a few Christmas presents. The kids loved their new jackets from the grandparents and the toys from their cousins!
The rest of the time there was spent visiting, eating, making bows and headbands, and a doing few haircuts! Cali's was the most drastic, so I have a few pictures. (I didn't take pictures while I was there, so I borrowed these from my sisters. Thanks guys!) Here is the picture that sums up our day.

CALI'S BEFORE!

AND AFTERShe even did it the next day and it looked as good as when I did it! Way to go Cal!

Thanks mom being a wonderful hostess and babysitter. We really appreciate it!

New Goals!

I am excited this year to do better on my food storage and use more coupons to get smokin' deals. My friend posted about a new website that is amazing. Food storage made easy, The obsessive shopper, and Everyday food storage have combined in one great website. Check it out at funwithfoodstorage.net They have some awesome give-a-ways this week, so wish me luck. I'm goin' for it!
P.S. Even if you are not interested in food storage, they have some great ideas for emergency prepardness!

New Years Day 2009

Happy 2009 Everyone!! We had such a blast on New Years Eve. We got together with 5 other couples and played games, ate yummy food, laughed, and visited! Midnight came so fast, I couldn't believe it. We feel so lucky to have such great friends/neighbors.

I hope all of you are safe and happy. I have several new years resolutions to work on and hopefully it will be another great year!
