Christmas is over!

I'll post again with pictures of Christmas at grandma's house, but I just wanted to know if anyone else is sad it is over? We look forward to it for so long, and then before you know it it's over.

I also haven't been feeling well lately with the pregnancy and everything. I decided to wait and send out a greeting to everyone after the baby is born, after we move, and when things get settled. So NO, to anyone who thought we died. We will send you pictures when we can. Thank you to all of you who sent out Christmas cards and updates. We love to get them and see how you are all doing.

Happy Days!

My wonderful husband had his graduation today. He still has finals next week, but the ceremony itself was today. Unfortunetly, for his program they were in a small room and our family wasn't able to go. However, thanks to one of his buddies, I got some pictures. I just wanted to say how proud I am of him. It isn't easy going to school with almost four children plus working the whole time. What an amazing guy! Honestly I couldn't love him more!

Josie's first...

Clogging performance! She did really good and we were so proud of her. She was nervous, but when it was over she said, "Mom, can we go do it again?" She LOVED it and can't wait until the next performance!

My Dad!

Happy Birthday Dad! This is a tribute to my dad. He is one of the best guys I know. He is a good example of being cheerful and looking for the positive. He can do anything, and if he doesn't know how, he finds a way to get it done. He delights in his family, especially when we are all together. I love the way he has accepted my husband as one of his own sons. He loves our children and is always willing to give them a horse ride when they ask. They make memories together that my kids will remember forever. I love him a ton and hope he has a great day!

I've been tagged!

I usually don't do these types of things, but I like reading other people's. So if you're reading this and you want to do it, consider yourself tagged. Hey, it's only 6 things, right? My friend Morgan tagged me and to tell you the truth, I can't really think of anything that interesting! Sorry about that.

Da Rules:List 6 facts/habits about yourself on your blog.At the end of your post, tag 6 friends.Visit your 6 friends blogs and leave a comment informing them they have been tagged - let them know they can read your blog for the rules.

1. In January, I will have FOUR children. I know, I know. Sometimes I can't believe it either.

2. I turned 30 a few months ago! Luckily, it wasn't as bad as I pictured it to be.

3. I am in a dinner group with two other families in my neighborhood and I LOVE it. I fix dinner on Tuesday nights for three families (mine and two others) and then I get dinner delievered to me on Wednesday and Thursday. It's great!

4. I met my husband on a blind date and we got married less than 5 months later! YIKES!

5. I wish I were better at interior design and photography! Maybe someday I'll have time to learn more about each of these.

6. I love to watch Biggest Loser and Law & Order SVU. Someday I hope to have a Tivo so I don't have to record with the old VHS tapes!

Well, there it is. I tag Holly, Meranie, Natalie, Amber, Jen, and Roy. Don't worry, if you don't want to do this, I won't be offended.

Putting up the Tree!

We had a lot of fun, especially the kids! We turned on the Christmas music and everything to get into the Christmas spirit!

Check out my Slide Show!

Here are some of the other highlights from last week! We had a lot of fun making jewelry, playing cards, riding horses, and making gingerbread houses!

What we've been doing!

Hello again! I have been meaning to write for a long time, but I have been soooo busy! Do you like the new look? My sister and her husband helped me out with that, so "Thanks" to them.

We had a really good Thanks giving. We went to Micah's family's for dinner. His mom even had a craft for us to do. It was fun. We also spent a good part of the day looking through the ads. We didn't go crazy shopping, but we did get a few deals that we were excited about. The first place that we went was Home Depot to get some tools and a ladder to work on our house. We were both really excited about that.

Potty Training

I guess Tyann thought her baby needed to be potty trained as well. Micah went into the restroom and this is what he found.

A big hole in the ground!

Well, it's official! We broke ground to build a house this week. I was so happy that I did shed a few tears. It just seems like we have waited for this for so long! I'll try to take pictures every few days to update you on the latest! For those of you who don't know, Micah was hired here, so we decided that we would be here long enough to build a home. He starts full time when school gets out in December, so we are anxious.

I was going to have my cousins come up and do the footings and foundation for us, but it didn't work out. I was dissappointed, but so glad that they were good about it. I was appreciative that they were still willing to come and help wherever they could. How great is family???

Ready for church!

This is my cute Ty today! We put perm rods in her hair and it was adorable. I used to do it to Josie's hair all the time when I only had one kid to get ready for church. Somehow I just haven't thought of it recently. Anyway it was cute because it made her look like she had more hair.

New beds for the kids!

This last weekend we did a big project. We took down the crib and put up the bunkbeds. The girls are in the bunkbeds (that we just painted black)! Now I just need to get some cute bedding, but that will have to wait for a little while.

So because Kody got kicked out of the twin bed, we got a full size bed for him, incase we ever have company come visit. It is nice. He will also need a cute comforter, but for now he just gets one of our wedding quilts.

Kindergarten family project!

Kody brought home this blank outline of a pumpkin and we were asked to work on it as a family. Well, I have a lot of crafty friends and on their blogs they had been making rice shakers with their kids. I thought that sounded fun, so we just took some empty bottles and colored the rice in the shakers! Then I got another brilliant idea. Hey, we could use that to color Kody's pumpkin! We just glued all the rice on. It turned out really cute and the kids loved making it.

Yummy!

Here are some yummy breadsticks a made a while ago. Aren't they pretty? The pan on the right is the before and the pan on the left is after they were cooked. I did half of the pan with cinnamon sugar and the other half with a spice called salad supreme! They were delicious.

If your interested, here's the recipe! 1 1/2 c. hot water, 2 T. sugar, 1T. yeast, 3 c. flour, and 1/2 tsp. salt. Dissolve water and sugar in a big bowl. Add yeast to water and sugar. Add flour and salt. Knead for 3 min, adding more glour as needed to make dough soft and workable. Cover with dish towel and let rest 10 min. Melt 1/2 cube margarine on large cookie sheet.

Place dough on a floured board and roll into rectangle just smaller than your pan. Cut into 1" strips with pizza cutter or knife. Place each strip, one at a time on sheet and turn to cover both sides with butter. Let rest 10 min. Sprinkle with your favorite toppings!

Clogging Time!

I go to Josie's clogging class every time and believe it or not, she is getting better! She loves it and believe me, if I weren't pregnant right now, I would totally join. It's a blast!

She'll love me for posting this....especially when she is older!

Volunteering

I love to volunteer in my kids' classrooms. It is never easy to get there, but once I go, I love it. I love to see how excited they are to see me. I love to see how they are doing at school and how they listen to their teachers. It is also interesting to see the other kids and how they interact with each other. I really give credit to those who can teach school. It seems so hard to deal with all of those personalites and stregnths/weaknesses. Thank goodness for good teachers!

*I LOVE*

One of my friends has started an "I love" section of her blog that she adds to every now and then. I have been meaning to start, but I haven't been loving too many things lately. Hopefully, this will help me be more cheerful.

*I Love* my awesome husband who does anything for me that he can. I love that Josie is actually getting old enough to have a conversation with about things. I love how handsome Kody is and how he likes he hair to stick up in the front everyday. I love that Tyann is growing up and spending quality time with me while the others are all in school. I love getting a fresh new haircut! I love getting a manicure and/or pedicure! I love eating out. I love listening to fun music. I love being in bed early. I love reading my friends blogs. And I love getting ready for a new baby girl to come!!!

Ultrasound!!

Today one of my presents was that we got to have our ultrasound. It was so fun.

We found out that.......

Yup! Another girl. Kody was really dissapointed. He cried for a while. He didn't want to see the pictures or anything. Good thing we have some time to prepare him. We are just really greatful that everything looked good and measured perfect.

My 30th birthday!

Well, my awesome family went in together to get this awesome present for me. I love it so much. I have been wanting one for a long time and had just never made the plunge to buy one. My sweet husband remembered that I wanted it and got everyone to go in on it. Yesterday I made 5 loaves of honey wheat bread and it turned out awesome! Thanks everyone! We also used the blender to make an awesome milk shake. It was amazing!

Turning 30 hasn't really hit me yet. I have noticed a couple of lines in my forehead (they just couldn't be rinkles, right?) I still feel young. It is when I look at my kids getting bigger and older that I realize that I can't be 24 anymore!

We did it!!

We successfully put child #2 in Kindergarten. He did amazing. Even Tyann had to have her backpack on!

He just had to ride the bus, but don't worry. I drove to the school to make sure he got there and take some more pictures! Ha ha!

Yearly pictures

Here is a link to the pictures we just got taken at Sears. They are dang cute, but even cute when you add all the enhancements.

I don't know how my sister's boys pictures got on there, but they are cute too. My kids are the 1st and 2nd one on the first row and the 1st one on the second row.

First day of Second grade!

Josie is growing up so quickly. It was a lot easier letting her go to school this year. I don't know if it is because she can read, she's already been to that school, she knew some kids in her class, she rides the same bus as last year, or what. She looked so cute! Here is her first day of school outfit!

With her backpack!
